    Summary:  Jim Flannery played football at Chandler High.  He went on to attend Scottsdale Community College in 1975 and 1976, where he garnered All ACCAC Conference honors at the center position.  He was named an All-American in 1976.  He went on to NAIA Abilene Christian University, we he garnered All Lone State Conference Honors and was a Small College All American.  The team won the 1977 NAIA National Championship.  He has since coached at Abilene Christian College, Chandler High (16 years), Hamilton High (6 years), and Basha High (8 years).  He was the 2007 Arizona Coaches Association Coach of the Year. After 2010 he focused on teaching full-time at Basha HIgh. Brent Rincon, Atheltic Director at Basha High, states "His committment and passion to the youth of Chandler is unprecedented and his impact on generations of young athletes has been felt in the community, not only in the past, but into the future."
