Summary:  Jerry Loper is an Arizona coaching legend who won two football state championships, two football runners-up, and a state track championship.  He coached at Chandler High School for three seasons in the mid-1990s, taking a down-trodden program and building the foundation for lasting success that the program has enjoyed since then.  Unfortunately, Jerry was killed by a drunk driver.  His death spurred the football team, led by Adam Archuletta, on to a deep playoff run in his honor.  Jerry compiled 224 wins in his 33 year football coaching career.  The football field at Hamilton High School was named in his honor.  Jerry is an Arizona High School Coaches Association Hall of Famer.
