    -Mr. Newman is taking over the plastering of the San Marcos Hotel on Monday.  He will be succeeding Mr. Welch who has gone to California.

    Mr. Newman is a contractor who has handled many jobs in Texas.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/9/1913)

    -Mr. Newman and family went to the Granite Reef Dam on Saturday.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/11/1913)

    -Mr. and Mrs. Newman were Phoenix visitors last week.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/25/1913)

    -Mr. and Mrs. Newman were chaperones for a young folks hay ride and desert supper, last Wednesday evening.  They made the hay ride in the moonlight, and stopped five miles out of town where they had spread out dinner under a cacti.

    The following people who participated were Misses Iva Rogers, Coralinn Brass, Ula Morgensen, Nellie Brass, Lena Morgensen, Amy Hansen, Jean Rogers, Nellie Morgensen, Ora Hansen, Gladys Berry, Lena Hansen, and Messrs. Jasper Halstead, Jack Gilbert, Oscar Berg, Ernest Camel, George Armstrong, Roy Balmes, Ora Rogers, Orsen Brass, John Hansen, Harry Stall, Dan Reese, and two of the Morgensen boys.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/1/1913)
